“A liver detox balances hormones.”
Commercial detox programs have not established a meaningful hormone-treatment benefit. The fact that the liver processes hormones is not evidence that a cleanse corrects a hormonal condition.
A liver cleanse has not been shown to “balance” hormones or treat a defined hormone disorder. Normal liver function does not require a commercial detox program. A change in diet or a laboratory number would not, by itself, prove that the promised treatment worked.
“Balance” often lacks a defined hormone, diagnosis, target or clinical outcome. Detox studies are small and weak, and they do not validate this broad hormone claim.
Safety note: Restrictive cleanses, laxatives and some products can cause harm. Do not use them instead of care for suspected liver or hormone disease.
Talk to a healthcare professional if: Get persistent symptoms assessed and disclose any detox supplements or regimens you use.
A plausible-sounding organ mechanism is not proof of a useful treatment.
Ask for evidence of improved symptoms or disease outcomes for the exact program, not a vague promise to “flush toxins.”
