A format for every kind of group
Pick one, invite your people, and go. Scored fairly: each person is measured against their own normal day, so anyone can win.
Showdown
A quick dare. Two sides go step for step and the winner takes the day.
Workweek
Built around the work week, so everyone can join in without a big time commitment.
Weekend
A short burst to get people moving when the calendar is open.
Rivalry Week
The classic. Departments, grades, floors or sites, with bragging rights on the line.
Goal Day
Everyone tries to hit their own goal. Nobody loses, and the group cheers each other on.
Journey
The whole group walks a real route as one team, like Route 66, and watches the map fill in.
Up and running before lunch
Create your organization
Sign in with Google or an email link. About a minute.
Start a challenge
Create it in the Health Movement Steps app and share the invite code, link or QR code.
Watch the results
Add the challenge to your dashboard for group totals and participation, so you can cheer everyone on.
Rivalries beat reminders
People do not need another notification. They need someone to beat. Matchups, live scores and a leaderboard turn a daily walk into a game.
- Head-to-head team matchups with live scores
- Leaderboards that update through the day
- A winner screen with a rematch button
Joining takes seconds
Share a code, a link or a QR code. No separate accounts to create for your people, and they choose whether to take part.
- QR code for posters, slides and break rooms
- Anyone can join from their phone
- Add more people any time
Walk famous routes together
Turn steps into a trip the whole group takes as one. Everyone's steps move the same marker across the map, with a postcard at every landmark.
- 21 real routes, from Route 66 to the Great Wall (paid plans)
- Great for all-school and all-company goals
- Cheers everyone on, not just the fastest

Free and every plan count the different people across your organization's challenges, family included. If you go past your number, everyone still joins and nobody is removed: you get 14 days to upgrade before new joins pause. Cancel any time from your dashboard. Prices are in US dollars. More than 2,500 people? Email support@healthmovement.com.
Referred by a partner? Your first 90 days of Plus are free.
You see the group. Never the person.
Group totals only
Organizers see team and challenge totals. Small groups are hidden: results appear only when a group has at least 5 people.
Joining is voluntary
People choose to take part. Nothing is shown about anyone who does not join.
Never sold, never advertised
We do not sell data or show ads, and the data is not for HR decisions or health plan use.
Good questions
Do my people need the app?
Yes. Participants join with the free Health Movement Steps app and an invite code, link or QR code.
Can I see how much one person walked?
No. Organizer views are aggregates only, and groups under 5 people are hidden.
What counts toward the free limit?
The number of different people across your organization's challenges, up to 50, family members included. If you go past it, everyone still joins and nobody is removed. You get 14 days to upgrade before new people have to wait.
Do schools, cities and nonprofits pay by size?
No. Once we confirm your group, you pay one flat fee for unlimited people: schools $49 a month or $390 for the school year, churches and nonprofits $49, gyms and studios $79 per location, rec centers $79, colleges from $150, and cities and health departments from $150 a month.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Request an invoice from your dashboard and we will follow up.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. Upgrades apply right away, even to a challenge that is running. Cancel any time from the billing page in your dashboard, no call needed.
Is there a free trial?
Free is free for as long as you like, with no card. Paid plans start when you choose one.
Is this a medical or wellness-plan product?
No. It is a friendly step competition, not medical advice or a diagnostic tool.
